UOnline: From Online Course Support to a Leader in Online Degree Programs

Led by Cory Stokes, Director of the Technology Assisted Curriculum Center (TACC), this initiative explored more flexible methods for offering classes to students. Around 200 online courses were created during those early years of experimentation.

What are we working on?
Learn & Work Utah
University Connected Learning, in tandem with the Utah System of Higher Education, the University of Utah, and our respected partners, is offering in-demand, short-term educational opportunities for Utahns who are unemployed, underemployed, or whose jobs are at risk. Courses will be offered to Utah residents at no-cost, preparing them for higher-paying and more stable careers.
Inclusive Design & Design Justice
University Connected Learning has brought in Dr. Amy Collier, Associate Provost for Digital Learning at Middlebury College, to lead a series of workshops on Inclusive Design & Design Justice for faculty across the U. By promoting the importance of Inclusive Design & Design Justice and providing education and resources on how to implement it, we hope to ensure design practices at the U that reflect the needs and experiences of all students, not just those who fall within the majority.
Campus Strategy Refresh
In alignment with The University of Utah campus’ Strategy 2025, University Connected Learning is working to meet students where they are, serve and engage our wider communities, expand online and certificate offerings, develop and strengthen partnerships, and prepare students for a dynamic and global workforce.
