pivot toward innovation header

Adaptability is now essential. Adaptability means updating skills, enhancing capabilities, anticipating what comes next, and always being prepared. We call this becoming future-ready.

The PIVOT Center and Professional Education are partnering to help faculty, staff, and students become future-ready by providing resources for professional growth, development, ingenuity, and strategic thinking.

  • Professional Education offers responsive training and courses on a user-friendly, flexible schedule designed to meet the demands of today’s working professionals.
  • The PIVOT Center connects U faculty inventors and the U’s resources with industry, entrepreneurs, investors, and Utah’s innovation ecosystem. PIVOT is responsible for all aspects of invention management, patent prosecution, licensing, start-up formation and support, equity management, and early-stage funding. The University of Utah was recently ranked second among large research universities for “innovation productivity impact.”

Take your ideas and aspirations into the future. Use the resources you discover to catalyze new insights and become more ready for tomorrow.
