Equity Diversity and Inclusion

University Connected Learning Believes in Inclusion

We believe that the diversity of our community is to be celebrated, and inclusion of all people is a key component of success and resiliency. We are working to serve both the campus community and the people of Utah through a culture of inclusion that respects the humanity of all peoples. Our services and programs promote learning, exploration, collaboration, understanding, and scholarship. We are working towards creating a better pathway for all people in our community to engage and work together in celebration of our differences and lived experiences. In so doing we also fully support the university and its initiatives.

What Does the UCL Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee Do?

The UCL EDI Committee advocates for equity and justice for historically marginalized, disenfranchised, and oppressed peoples in Utah. We develop practices and policies to protect against unconscious bias in our hiring and programming, with the goals of creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all peoples and better serving and representing the communities we serve.
